Ancient Spanish Monastery
A 12th-century Cistercian cloister from Segovia, Spain, bought by William Randolph Hearst in 1925, shipped to New York in 11,000 crates, and reassembled in North Miami Beach in the 1950s. The result is the oldest building in the Western Hemisphere, standing in a tropical garden. Cloister walks, a chapel still used for services, and a small museum. Popular for wedding and engagement photos, so weekday mornings are quietest. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
