52 acres of themed gardens next to Prospect Park. In late April, the Cherry Esplanade is one of the finest cherry blossom displays outside Japan; the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden, from 1915, is beautiful in any season. The conservatory holds a celebrated bonsai collection. Closed Mondays; book ahead during cherry season.
