Byrd Park

Snow Hill's riverside town park, spread along the Pocomoke River just east of the historic center. The 106 kilometre river winds through dense bald cypress and hardwood forest here, and its dark, tannin-stained water is a local signature. The park has a boat ramp, picnic areas and easy water access, and is the usual launch point for paddlers heading into the Pocomoke's wooded bends.
