Chatham Lighthouse & Lighthouse Beach
Working Coast Guard lighthouse (established 1808) overlooking the ever-shifting sandbars, breaks and seal colonies of Chatham's outer beach. The overlook across the road is a classic Cape photo stop; the beach below is beautiful for walking, though swimming is discouraged due to strong currents and the seals' better-known followers. Limited 30-minute parking at the overlook keeps turnover moving.
