Choptank River Bridge

The US 50 crossing between Dorchester and Talbot County, spanning the longest river on the Delmarva Peninsula. The Choptank runs 117 kilometres in total and is about 2.6 kilometres wide at this point, so the bridge is a genuine event rather than a formality: an extended run across open water with Cambridge and its marina to the south and the broad river mouth opening west toward the Chesapeake.
