Coachella Valley Preserve

A desert oasis preserve where the San Andreas Fault forces groundwater to the surface, sustaining the lush McCallum fan-palm grove. Trails wind from a rustic palm-house visitor area to ridge viewpoints over the valley. Note: storm flooding has damaged the boardwalk loop, but the oasis and ridge trails remain a worthwhile stop.
