Coral Castle
Over 1,100 tons of oolitic limestone carved and hoisted into place single-handedly, at night, by a five-foot-tall Latvian immigrant named Edward Leedskalnin between 1923 and 1951. Nobody saw him do it, and nobody has fully explained how. A nine-ton gate that once swung at the touch of a finger, a sundial, a stone telescope aimed at Polaris and rocking chairs of solid rock. Guided tours only, with an introductory film. The whole thing takes under an hour but it stays with you.
