Duxbury Beach & Powder Point Bridge
Six-mile barrier beach shielding Duxbury Bay, reached by the Powder Point Bridge — at roughly 2,200 feet one of the longest wooden bridges in the US and a beloved fishing and photo spot in its own right. The beach is long, uncrowded by Boston-area standards, and popular for walking, surfcasting and (with permit) over-sand driving; the bay side hosts Duxbury's famous oyster farms. A quietly scenic South Shore stop between Plymouth and the Hingham/Hull area.
