A one-block Mediterranean Revival village from 1925, built as an artists' colony and now a pedestrian lane of string lights, cafes and sidewalk tables between Washington and Drexel Avenues. Al Capone reportedly ran a gambling room upstairs; Desi Arnaz is said to have started the rumba craze here. Touristy but charming, best in the evening. Expect restaurant hosts to work hard for your business.
