Fontainebleau Miami Beach
Morris Lapidus's 1954 curved slab of Miami Modern hotel, still the flashiest address on Collins Avenue. The Rat Pack played here, Goldfinger opened here, and the sweeping bowtie-tiled lobby and bleeding-edge pool scene are as much a spectacle as a place to sleep. Around 1,500 rooms, a dozen restaurants and bars, a spa and direct beach access. Worth a walk through even if you stay elsewhere.
