Grand Canyon Village Historic District

A rim-side settlement of railroad-era landmarks — El Tovar's dark timber lobby, Hopi House, Kolb Studio clinging to the canyon edge — built when visitors still arrived by steam train. Wander the district on foot between viewpoints; the 1905 buildings are attractions in their own right.
