Havasu Falls

A 30-meter curtain of impossibly turquoise water pouring over red travertine cliffs in a remote side canyon of the Grand Canyon — the crown jewel of the Havasupai Reservation's chain of blue-green waterfalls. Reaching it demands a roughly 16 km hike from Hualapai Hilltop and a hard-to-get overnight permit from the Havasupai Tribe (multi-night minimum, sold first-come from early in the year; day hiking is not allowed).
