Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach

Kenneth Treister's 1990 memorial: a 42-foot bronze arm reaching skyward from a lily pond, covered with nearly a hundred life-size figures climbing toward the hand. You approach through a tunnel of names and a black granite wall of the murdered. Deeply affecting and not for a quick photo. Free, open daily, a short walk from Lincoln Road and the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. A new learning center opened alongside the sculpture garden.
