Horseshoe Bend Overlook

The Colorado River wraps a near-perfect 270-degree loop around a sandstone butte a thousand feet below the rim — one of the most photographed river bends on Earth. A wide, gently graded 1.2 km trail leads from the paid parking lot to the partially railed overlook; go early or at golden hour to dodge crowds and heat.
