Island Creamery

An institution on Maddox Boulevard, making ice cream on site since 1975 and reliably drawing a queue out the door on summer evenings. The signature flavour is Marsh Mud, a dark chocolate base with fudge and brownie, and they make their own waffle cones.

It is the standard end to a Chincoteague day after the refuge closes.

Seasonal hours, expect to wait fifteen minutes or more in July and August.
