Lake Casitas Recreation Area
A large reservoir in the hills between Ventura and Ojai, ringed by a county recreation area with camping, boat rentals, fishing for bass and trout, and the seasonal Casitas Water Adventure splash park. Wintering bald eagles and abundant birdlife make it a good wildlife stop; the lake served as the rowing and canoe venue for the 1984 Olympics.
