Lake Largo

A pleasant walking loop around a small lake next to Largo Town Center, with viewpoints and two footbridges. It is the best place on this stretch to stretch your legs before heading into the Capital Beltway traffic. The trail takes roughly 30 to 45 minutes at a relaxed pace.

The area around the lake is changing quickly: new mid-rise apartment blocks are going up on all sides as the district around the Largo metro station densifies. The rapper Wale lived for years in nearby Largo, and the neighbourhood has produced several other DMV hip-hop names.
