Lincoln Road

Miami Beach's pedestrian shopping street, ten blocks from the ocean to Alton Road, redesigned by Morris Lapidus in 1960 with follies, fountains and shade structures that still define it. A mix of national brands, sidewalk cafes, the restored Colony Theatre and a 1111 Lincoln Road parking garage by Herzog & de Meuron that has become an attraction in its own right. Busiest in the evening; a Sunday farmers market runs along the western blocks.
