Lowell Observatory
The hilltop observatory where Pluto was discovered in 1930 still points its century-old Clark Refractor at the night sky — and lets visitors look through it. Daytime brings guided history tours and exhibits; evenings bring telescope viewing under Flagstaff's famously dark skies, the world's first International Dark Sky City.
