Matheson Hammock Park

A man-made atoll pool filled by the tides of Biscayne Bay, ringed by palms and framed by the Miami skyline across the water. The calm, shallow lagoon is the family swimming spot; the rest of the park is coastal hardwood hammock, a marina and a 1930s Civilian Conservation Corps coral-rock bathhouse.
