McGrath State Beach
A natural-feeling state beach and campground at the mouth of the Santa Clara River between Ventura and Oxnard, prized for birdwatching in its riparian estuary and dunes. Quieter and wilder than the city beaches; check current access, as flooding has periodically closed portions.
