McGuffey Art Center
A cooperative art centre occupying a 1916 former school building just north of the Downtown Mall, with three floors of working studios, galleries, and a sculpture lawn out front. Around forty resident artists work on site across painting, ceramics, glass, photography, and printmaking, and most are happy to talk if their studio door is open.
It is less a museum than a working building, which is the appeal — you see work in progress rather than finished pieces behind glass.
