Miami Design District
An 18-block neighborhood north of downtown rebuilt from the 2010s as a walkable showcase for luxury fashion flagships, design galleries and starchitecture: Buckminster Fuller's Fly's Eye Dome, a Sou Fujimoto facade, the Palm Court plaza, and public art on nearly every corner. The Institute of Contemporary Art (free) and the de la Cruz-adjacent gallery scene make it more than a mall. Best in the late afternoon when the sun comes through the courtyards.
