Mitchell Caverns

A pair of limestone caverns hidden high in the Providence Mountains — the only such caves in the California state park system — reached by a scenic mountainside walk and seen on ranger-guided tours. Tours run on a reservation-only basis, generally weekends and the cooler months, with no services or guarantees in this remote corner of the preserve.
