Montezuma Well

A detached unit of Montezuma Castle National Monument, Montezuma Well is a continuously spring-fed limestone sinkhole about 368 ft across, formed when an underground cavern collapsed. Over a million gallons of water flow through it daily, supporting several species found nowhere else on Earth, and the rim holds Sinagua cliff dwellings and an ancient irrigation outlet. Short trails, free entry, and far quieter than the main Castle site.
