Neuse River Greenway (North Raleigh)
At 27.5 miles (44 km), this is the longest greenway in North Carolina, as well as the longest paved trail between northern Virginia and western Georgia. It was developed in several sections over many years along the Neuse River, with the final major section opening in 2013. People can enjoy walking, running, biking and watching wildlife along the trail as it passes through forests, wetlands and scenic areas.
