Papago Park

A distinctive municipal park of red sandstone buttes between Phoenix and Tempe, best known for the Hole-in-the-Rock — a wind-eroded opening with valley views and a short scramble up. The park also holds fishing lagoons, easy desert trails, and Hunt's Tomb (a small white pyramid), and shares its grounds with the Desert Botanical Garden and Phoenix Zoo.
