Plimoth Grist Mill
Working reproduction of the 1636 water-powered corn mill on Town Brook, where visitors watch native corn ground between massive stones just as the colonists did (the original mill ended Plymouth's mortar-and-pestle era). Part of Plimoth Patuxet Museums; the stone-ground cornmeal is sold on site. The pleasant Town Brook park path connects the mill to the waterfront, following the herring run that made this site viable in 1620.
