Rocky Top Climbing

A bouldering and top-rope gym on Allied Street, in the middle of a small, colourful warehouse district that has been taken over by artists, makers, and small workshops. The gym itself is old-school in the best sense — friendly, unpretentious, walls reset regularly, and welcoming to complete beginners.

The street around it is the real find: brightly painted industrial buildings and studios that feel a long way from the polished downtown a few minutes south.

Practical

Open from 06:00 on weekdays and 09:00 at weekends, until 21:00. Day pass around $18, with rental shoes available.
