San Juan Loop Trail

An easy ~2-mile loop through oak woodland and chaparral in the Cleveland National Forest, near the Ortega Highway summit. Shaded stretches, a seasonal creek, and rock outcrops make it a satisfying leg-stretcher, with longer routes branching off toward Chiquito Falls and Sitton Peak for those with more time.

Practical: a National Forest Adventure Pass is required to park. The Ortega Oaks Candy Store sits right across the highway.
