Sandstone Peak

At about 3,111 feet, the highest summit in the Santa Monica Mountains, reached via the scenic Mishe Mokwa / Backbone Trail loop from Circle X Ranch. On clear days the top yields 360-degree views from the Channel Islands to the inland ranges; the trail passes Balanced Rock and Split Rock formations.
