Sandy Neck Beach Park
Six-mile barrier beach of dunes and cobble on Cape Cod Bay, protecting the Great Marshes behind it — Barnstable's biggest natural area. Popular for long beach walks, off-road vehicle beach driving (permit required), and views across to the photogenic private cottage colony and lighthouse at the neck's tip. The bay side means gentler water and warmer swimming than the ocean beaches.
