Scituate Lighthouse
One of the oldest complete lighthouse stations in the country (1811), at the tip of Cedar Point guarding Scituate's pretty harbor. Famous for the 'Lighthouse Army of Two' — the keeper's teenage daughters who scared off a British landing party in 1814 by playing fife and drum from the dunes. The grounds and breakwater are open for a scenic stroll; the harborfront village nearby has good casual seafood.
