Sedona Airport Scenic Lookout

A roadside overlook partway up Airport Mesa offering one of the easiest big-view stops in Sedona — sweeping panoramas over West Sedona and the red rocks, including Chimney Rock, Thunder Mountain, and Coffee Pot Rock. The viewing area sits directly across the road from a paid parking lot (about $3/day) and needs no hiking, making it popular for sunrise and especially sunset. Coin-operated binoculars on site, and the 0.7-mile Sedona View Trail connects down to the Airport Mesa vortex site for those wanting a short walk. Arrive early at sunset; the lot backs up with a line of cars.
