Slide Rock State Park

Oak Creek has polished a natural waterslide through red sandstone in the heart of Oak Creek Canyon, and generations of swimmers have ridden the slick chute beneath towering canyon walls. The surrounding historic apple orchard adds shaded picnic ground; arrive early in summer, when the parking lot routinely fills by mid-morning.
