South Park City Museum
A reconstructed 1880s gold-rush town of 44 historic buildings, assembled on the original Fairplay townsite where Colorado's mining boom once roared. Saloon, assay office, schoolhouse, drugstore and rail depot stand furnished as if the miners had just stepped out, and most interiors are open to walk through. Open seasonally (roughly late May through October); allow two to three hours to wander the full main street.
