Stony Man Mountain Overlook

One of the largest pull-offs on Skyline Drive, a couple of kilometres north of Skyland, with a wide western view over the Shenandoah Valley toward Massanutten Mountain. It also serves as the northern access point for the walk up to Stony Man summit via the Appalachian Trail — a longer approach than the one from Skyland, but a quieter one.

Good for sunset, and big enough that it rarely feels crowded even when the smaller overlooks are full.
