The Wolfsonian-FIU

A museum of design and propaganda from 1850 to 1950 housed in a 1927 Mediterranean Revival storage warehouse on Washington Avenue. Posters, furniture, industrial objects and world's fair ephemera arranged around the idea that design shapes how people think. Small, sharp and rarely crowded; the lobby bar and the ornate elevator are part of the experience. Free for Florida residents. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
