Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village

Tlaquepaque (pronounced T-la-keh-pah-keh) is Sedona's arts-and-shopping village, a landmark since 1970 built to evoke a traditional Mexican village and named for the artisan town near Guadalajara — its name is often translated as "the best of everything." Vine-covered stucco walls, cobblestone walkways, arched entryways, fountains, and towering sycamores wrap a series of shaded courtyards on the banks of Oak Creek along SR-179. Inside are 50-plus galleries, boutiques, and restaurants — bronze and blown-glass studios, Southwestern fine art, jewelry, and Mexican and contemporary dining — plus a small chapel popular for weddings. As much a place to wander and photograph as to shop, and a near-mandatory stop on any Sedona visit. Free parking surrounds the village.
