Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve

Known locally as the 'Back Bay,' this estuary is one of the largest remaining coastal wetlands in the state and a key Pacific Flyway stop. A scenic loop road, kayak launches, and trails around the Muth Interpretive Center make it a prime spot for birdwatching and quiet paddling.
