World's End
A 251-acre Trustees of Reservations peninsula of four glacial drumlins reaching into Hingham Harbor, laced with tree-lined carriage paths laid out by Frederick Law Olmsted in the 1890s for a subdivision that was never built. The result is a landscape park of rolling meadows, hedgerow allées and constant water views — including the Boston skyline shimmering across the harbor. Consistently rated among Greater Boston's best walks; 4.5 miles of paths, moderate grades, entrance fee for non-members. Parking (about 70 cars) fills early on fine weekends.
