Yarmouth Port Historic Village
A short, dense run of Route 6A lined with captains' houses, antique dealers and small galleries — arguably the best browsing stretch on the whole road. The 1928 Memorial Arch and the old village water pump mark the centre.
Worth knowing:
- Hallet's Store, an 1889 drugstore and soda fountain still run by the founding family, serves frappes and sandwiches at the original marble counter
- The Historical Society of Old Yarmouth maintains walking trails and a botanic garden behind the village
- Antique shops here keep short and seasonal hours; midweek afternoons are the safest bet
Parking is on-street and limited, so pick a spot and walk the strip rather than driving between stops.
